You might recall some of my images of Whistler’s dramatic scenery I shared in my “Happy New Year 2013” post last month. I recently submitted one of those images to Liftopia’s “shot of the week” contest on their official Facebook page.
What is Liftopia you might ask? Well why don’t I just tell you in their own words:
“What is Liftopia? Save so you can spend more time on the slopes. Liftopia is the largest seller of lift tickets online for ski resorts around the world. When you book your skiing and snowboarding with us in advance, you can save up to 80% on your next trip!”
If you are looking for discount lift tickets for your next ski or snowboard adventure check them out at www.liftopia.com
And the point of all this free promotion you might ask. I won their shot of the week contest with one of my Whistler images!
Here is the image and what they had to say about it. Thanks again for the props Liftopia!
“We received a ton of incredible photos, but congratulations to Katy Ehlers! Katy submitted this featured Shot of the Week, taken at Whistler Blackcomb.”
Happy New Year from Canada!
The hubby and I and are go-to snow travel buddy Galen spent several awesome days snowboarding and apres-skiing it up in Whistler where we rang in the New Year in snow-covered style.
Whistler is widely considered to be the premier ski resort in the world. From the amazing snow (even though we weren’t blessed with any fresh snow while we were there) to the lively, expansive, and convenient village packed with all the food, drink, shopping, and lodging your heart desires, along with the incredible scenery, it is easy to see why.
Enjoy some of my favorite action and adventure shots from the trip:
…and last but not least…a little self-portrait from my private gondola dance party. Did you know a phone playing music out of the small internal speaker can be easily amplified by putting it face down in a helmet. Genius!
